what not to wear? Yay! I and my striped Regency dress have been featured on someone’s livejournal as an example of “women who shouldn’t be wearing high-waisted dresses.”

Granted, that’s not a terribly flattering photo, but why should I have to ignore a whole period just because my body type doesn’t suit the period according to modern eyes? What, there were no large women in the Regency? Gwyneth Paltrow had them all killed off? I embrace my inner Mrs. Jennings!
