As promised, here are photos of the vintage kimono that I was given for Christmas. I know nothing about kimonos, so I’d love to know if anyone has any guesses on whether the date given by the shop (1920s) is correct. It’s totally hand sewn and still has the original tags. The lining is pieced from white and yellow fabric — feels like crepe de chine — and shows some age spotting. The kimono fabric itself feels like it could be either silk or rayon.
