I need counseling! For the GBACG Travellers in Tuscany event in June, do I stick with my planned striped robe a l’anglaise, or do I make a caraco or pierrot jacket outfit (something along the lines of this or this) out of this yummy green striped silk I just won on ebay? eek! I’m in the tizzy often inspired by new costume-related paraphenalia! |

costume in cinema: reviews of costumey films
I’ve been working in fits and starts on writing reviews of costume movies, mostly because I keep coming across movies that I’ve never heard of that are so great (and others that are not-so-great)! I’ve written capsule reviews for all of the movies that I can remember seeing, and included links to images so as to help you decide if you want to watch it yourself. I’ve also included some info on movies to keep an eye out for, and I plan to update it with new reviews as films come out. |
Hopefully there’s something on the list that you haven’t seen and will decide is worth tracking down. If you know of any great costume movies that aren’t on the list, let me know in the comments or email me. I’m ALWAYS looking for a few good cartridge pleats…
