One last gasp of the online yard sale – I’ve added a bunch of rare books (mostly museum catalogs) and a few dvds. Some of the books may seem pricey, but they’re rare and I’ve priced them at or below the lowest price offered on Bookfinder and similar price comparison/out of print book search sites. As before, please email me at (kendra at demodecouture dot com) if you’d like to buy! All of the other pages are current, so anything still pictured is still on offer (altho some of them are on ebay now – email me if interested and I’ll send you the ebay link).

Important Costumers Yard Sale Update!
We just found out there’s a marathon in San Jose this Sunday! So definitely no early-birds at the sale, at least not if you’re coming from the east bay on hwy 880 — the Bascom Ave. exit will be closed until 12 noon.
However, you can take the West San Carlos / Stevens Creek Blvd. exit if you want to stake out the first sales of the day or hit the nearby antique shops along West San Carlos, some of which open at 11am (hint: start at Bascom & go east).
Print out a closeup from Yahoo! Maps if you’re not familiar with the area.
Coming from San Francisco, the Peninsula, or points south? No problem, no road closures!
Also, note we are now up to 10 sellers – so more possibilities that you’ll find something exciting!
Someone asked whether I’ll be doing a virtual yard sale after the in-person yard sale – possibly, altho it’s such a hassle to photograph and measure everything, plus shipping adds to cost. So possibly, depending on what’s left. I will say, though, that if you are interested in purchasing either my 1760 robe a la francaise ($200, fits about a size 18-20), 1836 evening dress ($150, fits about a size 18-20), or 1880s ball gown ($150, fits about a size 18-20), email me at kendra at demodecouture dot com and I can give you specific measurements and other info. Sorry, the can can skirt has already sold!
Costumers Yard Sale pt. 3
Holy crap – I had no idea I had this much stuff to sell! Tons of patterns, tons of fabric (some yardage and some smaller pieces), jewelry, trim, ribbon, a few books, a wig, a battenberg lace parasol, some reticules, about 6 vintage dresses and 2 repros… all this plus the costumes I mentioned in my last post. Who knew? Now that I’ve gathered all this stuff up (which took me ALL DAY, plus pricing things – and I’m not even done), I really hope a lot of buyers show to cart away all this stuff.
More on the Costumers Yard Sale + Where I’ve Been!
So I’ll be liberating a bunch of stuff at the upcoming costumers yard sale (see post below). If you need tempting, here’s just some of the stuff: 1760s robe a la francaise, 1836-7 evening dress, 1880s evening dress, 1890s can can skirt. Plus a bunch of vintage dresses (1920s & 1940s-50s), at least one vintage 1910s hat, various fabric (wool, silk, linings, etc.), patterns (modern and repro costume), a few bits of jewelry, possibly an 18th c. style wig… lots of cool stuff!
In other news, it’s been time for the annual Fall Kendra Disappearance Months! I’ve been absolutely slammed at work, and most of my free time has gone into performing at various Renaissance faires and GBACG behind-the-scenes stuff. Work should be calming down soon; faires end at the end of October; so I should be resurfacing soon-ish. Sorry it’s been so boring around here!
