I Am Very Good at Lagging

Outstandingly so! I finally got around to writing up something about my Costume College gala dress (1870-71 evening dress). You’ll be happy to know that although I was glad not to be posting about it because it helped me work faster, I didn’t really like making it offline. So no more of that nonsense! I like hearing what y’all have to say!

In other news – I flaked this year (too tired, too poor!) on the Gatsby picnic, so no doubt my 3/4 finished 1920s dress will languish until next year. Instead, I am picking back up my Florentine dress, as there’s a chance I may go to faire as a customer in a few weeks and yay! Chance to wear a new dress!

I am resolved that this year I will keep on track, but not overwhelm myself. That being said, the plan is: finish the Edwardian suit for the GBACG tea in February; make this 1764 mourning gown for the GBACG exhibit at Costume Con in April (previously this was a secret project, but like I said, offline sewing = no fun!); and a sorry,-it-has-to-be-secret-because-it’s-for-the-masquerade dress for Costume Con in April. After April, I am allowed to think about other projects. But until then, that’s IT!
