Just added photos from Saturday’s event: Travellers in Tuscany, an event put on by the Greater Bay Area Costumer’s Guild — 18th century wine tasting, tour, and lunch. The event was fun, except for the fact that it was INCREDIBLY WINDY, which meant that my Really Good 1780s big hair was very unhappy. I had to really mash my hat down to keep it on, so that plus the wind just about killed my hair :(. I almost took an after picture to show just how wrecked my hair was, but I chickened out. It was scary. |
The costumes were really impressive — most everyone looked perfect. Check out the photos on my Travellers in Tuscany gallery page (and closeups of my outfit on my 1780s robe à l’anglaise page). If anyone would like large size versions of any of the photos, feel free to email me.
