Masquerade Advice
Okay kids, so I’m planning to go Costume Con for the very first time this year. It will be, in fact, my very first con (unless you count BayCon last year, when all I did was docent an exhibit and go to the Regency dancing). And it will, of course, be my very first masquerade, at which my goal is simply to not make an a** of myself. To that end, does anyone have any advice to a newbie masquerade-er? What do I need to know? What do you wish you had known your first time?

Real Women’s Clothing Directory
It’s taken a bazillion years, but there’s a massive update to the Real Women’s Clothing directory finally up. The up side is I’ve given paths to descriptions for items that were previously image-only, and included geographic data when it was listed in the museum’s description.
The down side is this necessitated some reformatting, which made the file HUGE — so I’ve had to reorganize. You can now access the directory at its new home: http://demode.tweedlebop.com/realvict/.
The up side is there’s lots more information available, plus I’ve added about 50 billion new listings for your coveting pleasure. Also, new listings are on white, which should make them more visible.
