Ebay Happiness

Can one squeeze a 1780s pierrot jacket out of 1.5 yards (54″ wide) of fabric? (Is that fabric not a dead ringer for an 18th c. brocade?) Will my size 11B feet fit into size 13AAA shoes? All this remains to be seen!

Costume Movie Reviews

Pretties

One of my favorite costumers is Christina of Nehelenia Designs — her 18th c. work in particular is just gorgeous. I recently noticed that she’s starting a line of “modern fashions inspired by the past” under the name Merveilleuses, which are a really imaginative blend of gothic and period. I mean, check out the STRIPES!

Oops

So, um, yeah. About a year ago I scanned a 1917 National Cloak & Suit Co. catalog that I have. And uploaded the files. And forgot to ever link them from my main page. Or tell anyone about them. oops!
