The Concept

A c. 1780 redingote based on this sketch of Marie-Antoinette… and, weirdly, the paint scheme of a Victorian house near my home in Alameda, CA.

The Fabric & Trim

Ivory silk/wool blend, trimmed with white silk taffeta, black cotton velvet, and black fur.

The Pattern

Draped by me.
