Chic Chicago exhibit at the Chicago History Museum

I’ve posted before about the Chic Chicago exhibit. This time, I’ve found that the Chicago History Museum’s website for the exhibit has some great multimedia additions — a Flickr set of high res images of costumes from the exhibit, as well as video profiles/interviews with curators as well as a behind the scenes on putting together the exhibit. More museums should do this kind of thing!

  1. The Chicago History Museum, is a cool museum, its only a few blocks from my apartment, would you like the catalog from this exhibit? I was going to go anyway one more time before I leave

  2. I went to this in November of 2008. I loved looking at the dresses. They had some really cute touchable mock ups of a couple of the dresses and swatches so you could feel the materials that some of the dresses were made from.

Chicago Historical society boasts one of the largest collections of Worth gowns. I am still waiting for a display of them.
