The Duchess Movie

If you are, like me, an avid reader of the Costumers Guide to Movie Costumes, you have no doubt already seen this, but in case you haven’t: The Duchess movie website has added tons of detail about the costumes in the movie, including the ability to zoom and rotate high res images! Yay! Maggie at Costumers Guide has been collecting tons of images from the film, and her website a great place to keep current. I am SO dying for this movie!

  1. Thanks for the shout-out! 🙂

I was so excited to see that the Official Duchess site added that costume feature. It’s fabulous! 🙂 I’m so excited for this movie!

  2. I think I’d be a lot more excited if it wasn’t Keira Knightly. 😉 As it is, I’ll probably wait for DVD.

  3. I SOOO want to see this movie! The eye candy looks totally-to-drool-and-die-for! And it doesn’t hurt to know the life of Georgiana of Devonshire like the back of my hand, so the drama is speaking almost as strongly to me too. 🙂 Only problem is, my family would so not be interested…. and where I go, my fam goes. *SIGH*

  4. Let me just say that “The Duchess” is all I expected and more. I have to be frank and admit that I really can’t say how good it was as I wasn’t paying terribly close attention (I read the book and know the story). My boyfriend who falls asleep in almost every movie stayed awake and liked it. so, take that under advisement. It felt like watching actual clothes of the period and not costumes. The hats and wigs are fabulous, the settings amazing and so many lovely crowded assemblies and crushes. I can’t wait to see it again at the the local googleplex.
