Important Costumers Yard Sale Update!

We just found out there’s a marathon in San Jose this Sunday! So definitely no early-birds at the sale, at least not if you’re coming from the east bay on hwy 880 — the Bascom Ave. exit will be closed until 12 noon.

However, you can take the West San Carlos / Stevens Creek Blvd. exit if you want to stake out the first sales of the day or hit the nearby antique shops along West San Carlos, some of which open at 11am (hint: start at Bascom & go east).

Print out a closeup from Yahoo! Maps if you’re not familiar with the area.

Coming from San Francisco, the Peninsula, or points south? No problem, no road closures!

Also, note we are now up to 10 sellers – so more possibilities that you’ll find something exciting!

Someone asked whether I’ll be doing a virtual yard sale after the in-person yard sale – possibly, altho it’s such a hassle to photograph and measure everything, plus shipping adds to cost. So possibly, depending on what’s left. I will say, though, that if you are interested in purchasing either my 1760 robe a la francaise ($200, fits about a size 18-20), 1836 evening dress ($150, fits about a size 18-20), or 1880s ball gown ($150, fits about a size 18-20), email me at kendra at demodecouture dot com and I can give you specific measurements and other info. Sorry, the can can skirt has already sold!
